As well as an advocate of radical design, Bisque is a champion of exciting designers. So it’s perfectly fitting that, to mark its 40th year, the company is inviting aspiring designers from across the world to submit their ideas for a new radiator design.
This isn’t the first time Bisque has provided such an opportunity for aspiring talent. A similar competition back in 2012 resulted in the creation of the brand’s famous Archibald towel rail, a striking coat hanger-inspired design by Leo Salzedo that’s still available today.
This year, however, the brief is to produce something even more radical and dramatic. The company is looking for ideas that are an appropriate acknowledgement of its revolutionary beginnings, and in keeping with its daring, sometimes audacious design approach.
All designs must include a flow, return and a space for the air vent, these are all the key things for a radiator to function.
The winning designer will receive £1,000 in prize money, and could have the satisfaction of seeing their design put into production.
