What makes a product Iconic?

July 24th, 2019

Interiors are much more complex than simply a trend, they are an extension of an individual’s personality and style. Here at Bisque we value the importance of products which embody character and flair. This can come in many shapes and forms and we believe this is the building blocks of what makes a product iconic.

Customers value the ability to customize a product to reflect their own style. With this in mind, offering a diverse range to suit different tastes and install situations is vital. The offering must also bring practical plus points, for example, the ability to hang towels, whilst maintaining an elegant design. Here at Bisque, we have pulled out all the stops to make sure our products are as customizable as can be! This includes the size, option to add towel rails, a bespoke colour matching service and special finishes such as Rustique, Rose Copper and our cult classic Ombré.

Another key factor to making a product iconic is timeless design. A product that doesn’t age and still looks as stylish as it did the day it was installed is a must have in today’s market! Attempting to keep up with the Jones’ is tiring and also a waste of effort and material. We are seeing that more and more homeowners are investing in designs that won’t go out of style and won’t need to be replaced.

As design innovators, we are always on the prowl for the latest trends and iconic designs to come to fruition in the interiors sector. Bisque’s favourites include the Tom Dixon Beat lights and the Pixar-esque desk lamp designs from Anglepoise.

Keep your eyes peeled for our second blog in this series which round up some of our most iconic products over the years.
