BISQUE’S THREE TOP TIPS FOR CREATING A STATEMENT WALL

March 11th, 2019

Looking to make an instant impact in your living room or bedroom? Statement walls have long been a popular choice with interior designers and home renovators alike. Inject a pop of colour into your home with a bold and bright shade, or create a focal point using one of 2019’s hottest wallpaper trends, such as tropical print or geometric designs. Here at Bisque we’ve pulled together our top tips for creating a feature wall in your home.

TIP ONE: USE BRIGHT COLOURS

If you’re interested in colour, a statement wall is a great place to start. Kick start your home renovation with 2019’s most popular colour trends, such as Pantone’s ‘Colour of the Year’, Living Coral. This hue is both vibrant and soft and can instantly instill a sense of energy into any room. Many of our popular radiator designs are available in this striking colour, such as the Classic.

The trend for jeweled tones continues to pick up pace this year, with many opting for deep emerald and sapphire tones. These rich colourways are a great way to add a sense of depth to a room – use layered lighting to really bring these colours to life. Our Classic radiator, pictured above in a deep teal tone, works incredibly well in a bathroom setting, offsetting the gold brassware perfectly.

Perhaps you’d like to use bold colours, but would prefer deeper, earther tones? You’ll be pleased to know that paint company Sherwin Williams’ ‘Colour of the Year’ is Cavern Clay. This western-inspired hue is perfect for those wanting to bring a sense of elemental warmth into any space.

TIP TWO:  INVEST IN STANDOUT PRINTS

Pattern prints are big news in 2019. Create a feature wall by layering clashing designs with geometric wallpapers and floral armchairs. Botanical prints are a popular choice as we continue to take inspiration from nature. Bring this trend to life with indoor plants such as ferns and snake plants. We think our Bisque Lissett model, pictured above in mint green, is a fantastic example of how daring wallpapers can be tied into an overall colour scheme.

TIP THREE: CONSIDER A FEATURE RADIATOR

Who says your statement wall can only come to life with a lick of paint or a flamboyant wallpaper? Here at Bisque we know just how transformative the right radiator can be. Our Arteplano radiator is a real head turner and popular with those who want to create a feature in their home using a rad. If you want something truly unique, why not opt for one of our copper or brass designs which are individually acid etched for a one-of-a-kind striking design; the ideal option for the discerning homeowner.
