Bisque in bloom: pastel radiators for summer

July 17th, 2020

Here at Bisque, we’re known for our use of colour. And if there’s one colour trend that crops up repeatedly year after year, it’s pastels! These soft shades are perfect for adding a little colour to your interior without the need for punchy, bold brights. They also work well in a multitude of rooms, from nurseries and kids rooms to kitchens, bathrooms and living rooms, meaning the pastel spectrum is super versatile.

Rather than the sickly sweet pastels of yesteryear, 2020 sees a new breed of colourways crop up; think Farrow & Ball ‘Arsenic’ or ‘Cinder Rose’. These hues have a slightly more ‘grown up’ feel to them, and feel far fresher and more modern than the sugary shades we are used to.  And thanks to our wealth of colour options and bespoke paint-matching service, you can get them on your radiators too!

Our Classic is always an incredibly versatile option. Available in over 2000 sizes and colours, it offers perhaps the greatest flexibility out of all radiators in the Bisque range. We love it in these shades pictured above – mint turquoise (RAL 6033), pigeon blue (RAL 5014), pastel violet (RAL4009), pastel turquoise (RAL 6034) and antique pink (RAL 3014).

In the bathroom, our Archibald is a fantastic option. Designed by Leo Salzedo and winner of the 2006 designboom competition, it is one of the few radiators in our bathroom portfolio available in a colour finish. We rather like it in this rosy pink hue. Try pairing it with gold brassware and accessories for a knock-out finish. On that note, if you prefer a bolder pastel look – such as tiles or a terrazzo quartz surface – then pare back on your radiator. Our Osbourne radiator works particularly well in this stunning bathroom, designed by Edwina Boase for George Clarke’s Ugly House to Lovely House on Channel 4.

Sticking with the bathroom, our new Balmoral towel rail is now available in a range of bespoke colour finishes, meaning you can create something truly unique. Here it is pictured colour-matched to Farrow & Ball’s Calamine, which offsets the metallic tones perfectly.

And finally, if you can’t decide on one pastel shade – why not go for four? Our ombre service allows you to do just that, picking between 4-6 shades to be splashed across our Classic radiator. This is perfect for those looking to make a statement with their chosen radiator, and unlike anything else on the market. Speak to one of our experts at our London showroom for further info here.
