Pioneering British design brand Bisque exhibited at Clerkenwell Design Week for the first time in May
‘Clerkenwell is home to more creative businesses and architects per square mile than anywhere else on the planet, making it truly one of the most important design hubs in the world. To celebrate this rich and diverse community, Clerkenwell Design Week has created a showcase of leading UK and international brands and companies presented in a series of showroom events, exhibitions and special installations that take place across the area.’
Its stand – found on E19 within the Elements exhibition in St John’s Square – showcased not only Bisque’s wide selection of beautiful radiators, but will also previewed its upcoming product design competition to talented designers. The competition coincides with the brand’s momentous 40th anniversary, also taking place this year.
The competition was previewed at Clerkenwell Design Week in May 2019, before it officially launches in July. The final deadline for entries will then be in October. All entrants will be judged by a panel of industry experts, including journalists, designers and Bisque officials, before the winning model is unveiled during an exclusive preview in November. The winning design will be awarded a cash prize; plus, provided the design works technically, it will go into production*.
Other products on display on Bisque’s stand include the Paul Priestman-designed Hot Spring, revolutionary Tetro radiator – beautifully crafted from recycled aluminium – the eco-friendly Lissett, and iconic Classic design.
